In Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh, nineteen employees of NHPC were trapped inside a powerhouse due to a landslide blocking the Dhauliganga Power Project’s tunnels. A joint rescue operation by the district administration, SDRF, and BRO successfully evacuated all the trapped individuals by evening. Continuous monitoring of the landslide-prone area is underway to ensure public safety.
